Procedure

The AIMS administration welcomes all visitors. The administrator is available upon appointment to discuss rospective student’s educational needs and our program of study. AIMS values cultural diversity, respects universal human rights, and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality, or ethnic origin. Applicants must be willing to cooperate with all school polices, published and verbal. Admission to AIMS is a privilege. The school reserves the right to withhold or withdraw admission at its discretion.

The prospective student must submit the following documents and make the following payment in order to be considered for admission:

    [li class="badge-div"][icon]2[/icon]Character certificate by administrator of previous school[/li]
    [li class="badge-div"][icon]3[/icon]School application fee[/li]

An assessment test is used to determine the applicant’s proficiency in the following areas:

    [li class="badge-div"][icon]1[/icon]English language skills[/li]
    [li class="badge-div"][icon]2[/icon]Oral Reading and Reading Comprehension[/li]
    [li class="badge-div"][icon]3[/icon]Mathematics concepts and problem solving[/li]

The type of assessment given depends on the grade level of the prospective student. The administrator will meet with the parents to explain the results and make recommendations.

The AIMS admissions committee will approve applications:

    [li class="badge-div"][icon]2[/icon]Providing the school meets the child’s educational needs[/li]
    [li class="badge-div"][icon]3[/icon]Providing the child meets the school’s admission requirements[/li]

New students will be tested for grade placement. The admission evaluation process for acceptance and placement includes an interview with the homeroom teacher and administrator, acceptable prior academic performance, age, emotional, physical and social development.

New students are automatically placed on academic and social probation for the first semester.
